Merchandised by an art & craft admirer with a professional background in advertising and fashion retailing, Oh No So Ho was named for a famous NJ Indian Tribe.

OH NO SO HO got its name from the not so “positive” first impressions expressed by more conservative patrons. Originally seen as an avant-garde collection of jewelry and home accessories, visitors would often say, "Oh, no, like in Soho," walking out and muttering about the oddities they saw. But eventually the word got out and those looking for the unique gift or accessory found their way to OH NO SO HO and were heard saying, "Oh, no, like in Soho," enthusiastically as they made purchases.
